In 2020, UNHCR in collaboration with CartONG organized a series of webinars on SENS version 3 and new Mobile Data Collection (MDC) tools.
This webinar series is dedicated to survey managers and to persons involved in the implementation of SENS surveys to gain key knowledge and useful skills to be able to conduct a SENS survey using the new SENS Guidelines and new MDC Tools. The webinars cover the updates in the SENS modules, the new sampling strategies, the new questions and indicators, the adaptation for MDC, the novel automatic checks, the algorithms for the referral of malnourished children, the new SENS tools, the new SENS website, SENS mapper, etc.
This series of webinars are delivered in English and French, and are divided into 6 sessions:
Updates in SENS v3 guidelines
- Session 1: Background on SENS and updates in Module 1 – Demography and Module 5 – Food Security
- Session 2: Updates on Module 6 – Mosquito Net, Module 7 – WASH, Module 2 – Anthropometry and Health, Module 3 – Anaemia, and Module 4 – IYCF
- Session 3: Updates on Pre-module and new tools, including SENS website and data dashboard
New MDC Tools
- Session 4: Overview and demo on SENS questionnaires
- Session 5: Overview use of tools including ODK Collect, Kobo Toolbox, Raspberry Pi
- Session 6: ODK Collect set up, SENS Mapper and Q&A for all sessions
